On February 17, 2025, South China University of Technology (SCUT) Bay Area Alumni Development Alliance and Wushan Club (short as the Alliance) was successfully held in Zhiguang Comprehensive Energy Industrial Park. Distinguished guests in attendance included Alliance Decision-Making Committee members Zhu Jianghong, Liu Yixiang, Rotating Chairman, Zhiguang Electric Chairman Li Yongxi, as well as Alliance Vice-chairpersons, board members, secretariat members, and members od Wushan Club under Guangzhou Alumni Entrepreneurs Association. SCUT Party Secretary Zhang Xichun, President Tang Hongwu, and other university leaders also graced the event.
At the symposium, Li Yongxi provided the overview of the alliance’s progress in 2024 and outlined the plans for 2025. He emphasized that in the new year, the Alliance will further implement its mission of serving the University, supporting alumni, and contributing to local economic development. By leveraging its platform, the Alliance aims to actively participate in the growth of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, bringing SCUT’s expertise and entrepreneurial strength to drive regional economic and social progress.
Attending alumni shared insights and suggestions on the Alliance, engaging in discussions on global expansion, enterprise services, technology empowerment and industry upgrades. They expressed their hopes of fostering collaboration, synergy, and growth to build a dynamic alumni-driven economy, uniting efforts to create a new chapter of shared success.
During the subsequent Spring Tea Gathering, Jiang Xinyu, President of Zhiguang Electric, introduced the company's industrial layout, core business, and innovative achievements. He highlighted Zhiguang Electric’s focus on industry trends and its commitment to fostering new productive forces by enhancing and expanding its industrial chain services. By driving advancements in secure and sustainable energy supply, efficient and stable energy transmission, and low-carbon intelligent energy consumption, the company aims to help clients unlock new energy potential. He also expressed hope for diverse collaboration opportunities among alumni enterprises to achieve mutual success.
Hu Dezhao, representing Wushan Club,delivered a speech, emphasizing that the club’s commitment since its inception to fostering a SCUT alumni network built on honor, dedication and friendship. Looking forward, Wushan Club aims to deepen the cooperation between the university and enterprises, empowering alumni businesses to lead in technological innovation and industry advancement.
